The German parliament will discuss the new UN migration deal today. In a document by the current ruling coalition, it is calrified that the migration deal has no legal consequences for Germany.
Berlin - Today the German parliament will be discussing the new UN migration deal. In a document by the current ruling coalition, it is calrified that the migration deal has no legal consequences for Germany. The new deal is very controversal and has even sparked resistance within the ranks of the Union.
On top of the new migration deal the parliament has a row of laws to decide on. With a change of the constitution, a loosening of the “Kooperationsverbot“, which is the law preventing german government to interfere with education in other states, should be achieved. Another change to the tenancy laws will also be voted on.
