On 24 June 2015, the final of the Rheinland-pitch took place in Boui boui Bilk.
Düsseldorf - On the 24th June, 2015 the grand finale took place in Düsseldorf at the Boni Boni Bilk after several prelimirary rounds in Cologne and Düsseldorf. For the finale, major deciders of politics, business and startups put themselves together. Mayor Thomas Geisel opened the event with his welcoming speech.
The aim of the event is to give young startups from Düsseldorf and in the entire Rhineland, the chance to present their business ideas in front of a distinguished audience. The event was sponsored by several companies as for example: the European Media and Business Academy (short EMBA), the German bank and the Metro Group.
Mayor Thomas Geisel was also at the finals and gave the participants a few words along their presentation. Each founding team presented their idea in front of an information booth. Then all the teams were given another opportunity on stage to present their idea to the audience and the judges with an question and answer session. The jury selected at the end the winners: The winner was the start-up company Shop.Co, Evopark finished second, followed by Wotch and Manual One.
